Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:30 PM - 12:30 AMTue04:30 PM - 12:30 AMWed04:30 PM - 12:30 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related issues through proper channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, helping to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations. Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned spaces, helping to support order and following post instructions for visitor interaction and incident response. Assist with de‑escalation support when appropriate and work with site contacts and/or first responders during medical, behavioral, or other urgent situations. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
