Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for each patient, including the review of medical history and assessment of physical capabilities, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Effectively communicate evaluation results and the proposed treatment plan to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in goal-setting and addressing their concerns.
• Implement treatment protocols proficiently based on patient evaluation findings, current best practices, and adapting as necessary to the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, recognizing when to adjust treatment plans in response to changes in patient conditions or to seek additional consultations.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards and accurately reflects the patient's journey and progress, including evaluations, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
• Exhibit outstanding time management skills, maintaining productivity expectations while effectively scheduling appointments and being punctual for meetings.
• Participate in departmental goal-setting and compliance initiatives, contributing to achieving the strategic objectives of the rehabilitation team.
• Pursue ongoing education to enhance personal clinical skills and assist in training students in physical therapy programs.
• Foster an exceptional customer experience by accommodating patient needs with flexibility and rapid response to inquiries.
• Actively engage in initiatives aimed at removing barriers to patient access and improving service delivery based on performance metrics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. You will be expected to develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, promoting their independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey, or eligibility for licensure.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers as mandated by the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is desired, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation or specialty areas such as sports medicine or geriatrics is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
