Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through detailed interviews, ensuring thorough documentation from initial consultations to the completion of treatment.

• Assess and analyze clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, crafting personalized recovery plans that cater to their specific needs.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to foster healing and promote mental wellness.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans based on feedback and evolving circumstances.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, medical professionals, and social workers to optimize client care.

• Provide ongoing follow-up for clients referred to psychiatric care or hospitalization, ensuring continuity of support and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role, you will engage with a broad spectrum of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, each presenting unique mental health challenges. Our client focus encompasses various conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Understanding cultural diversity and individual backgrounds is critical to delivering sensitive and effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts.

• Successful completion of relevant national examinations, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor within an outpatient setting.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for efficient documentation and client management.

• Knowledge and understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health issues, alongside addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and interpersonal effectiveness.
