Position Overview

Crossroad Pain and Orthopedics is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Orthopedics to join our dynamic team in Seneca Falls, New York. The Nurse Practitioner will operate primarily within an outpatient practice, directly under the supervision of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and aligned with the directives of our Medical Director.

Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will be stationed onsite at a prominent school facility, which fosters a supportive atmosphere conducive to patient care and continuous learning. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technologies and resources that allow for effective diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, with no on-call responsibilities, night shifts, or weekend work, thereby promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Orthopedic physicians and NP colleagues to deliver optimal patient care.
• Perform thorough evaluations, including taking patient history and conducting physical examinations to guide diagnosis and treatment.
• Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, tailoring treatment plans to individual patient needs.
• Provide specialized outpatient services in Electrophysiology, catering to patients suffering from abnormal arrhythmias and those requiring device management.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and management for patients with acute cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure.
• Administer stress tests as required to evaluate cardiac functionality and guide further management plans.
• Engage in regular consultations and receive mentorship from experienced orthopedic professionals within the facility, promoting continual skill enhancement.
• Prescribe medications as required, demonstrating clinical judgment and adherence to clinical guidelines.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within the organization when necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment options, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices to enhance patient engagement and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner, you will cater predominantly to adults, including those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions, recovering from orthopedic surgery, or seeking intervention for acute injuries. You will play a pivotal role in both preventing complications and optimizing recovery, focusing on enhancing the quality of life and empowering patients through education and support.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required; a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program accredited by a recognized body.
• Current, valid Nurse Practitioner license to practice in the state of New York.
• Active certification in an appropriate specialty area aligned with departmental needs (e.g., Adult-Gerontology, Family Practice).

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in orthopedic settings, whether in inpatient or outpatient roles, are highly encouraged to apply. Both seasoned professionals and recent graduates with a strong interest in orthopedic care will be considered. A foundational understanding of pain management and rehabilitation protocols will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to USD 160,000. Subject to experience and qualifications, employees will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
