Work Environment

This position involves working onsite within a school facility setting in Auburn, New York, where multidisciplinary collaboration and support are highly valued. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with physicians, other healthcare providers, and educational staff to create a nurturing and effective treatment environment. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, promoting a work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Good Life Medical Clinic, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients by obtaining detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Independently managing follow-up visits according to the clinic's Incident II guidelines to ensure the continuity of care.
• Accurately updating and maintaining patient records during each appointment to support effective treatment plans.
• Anayzing diagnostic test results to determine the need for further consultations or interventions.
• Collaborating with supervising physicians to develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate the latest treatment options and ensure patient-centered care.
• Delivering high-quality medical care while meeting productivity metrics set forth by the organization.
• Actively engaging with patients as a reliable resource for education, counseling, and guidance regarding their treatment options and health management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will focus primarily on patients seeking assistance with chronic pain management, including those suffering from musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and other related conditions. This role emphasizes building long-term relationships with patients to facilitate trust and promote adherence to treatment plans.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Valid and active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New York.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience specifically in pain management or performing physical examinations.
• Exceptional clinical skills, with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, fostering effective collaboration within a team environment.
• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or Electronic Practice Management systems, alongside strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare setting while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional training in pain management techniques, familiarity with pain assessment tools, or prior experience working in educational settings will be viewed favorably. Proven expertise in managing a diverse patient demographic is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience, coupled with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
