Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Fortitude Healthcare Center, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and obtaining comprehensive medical histories to assess the physical and mental condition of patients.
• Ordering, collecting, interpreting, and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic tests to accurately determine patient healthcare needs.
• Prescribing and managing medication regimens and therapeutic treatments in accordance with established protocols, ensuring patient safety and maximizing efficacy.
• Documenting patient treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records, facilitating clear communication among team members.
• Engaging in perioperative patient management which encompasses pre-operative assessments, intraoperative support, and post-operative care in outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in our Pain Management Team will work with patients experiencing a wide range of conditions related to pain and discomfort. This includes chronic pain management, postoperative recovery, and rehabilitation support. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant is essential.
• A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field is required.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and a valid state license are mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and evaluate lab results and diagnostic tests effectively.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and familiarity with relevant software applications.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
