The Managing Life Mental Health Clinic is searching for a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support our School Mental Health Team. Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while still offering the opportunity to engage closely with students and staff. The structured work schedule typically runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends as necessary to ensure comprehensive mental health coverage. On-call availability may also be required to manage urgent crisis situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, taking into account their personal backgrounds, presenting issues, and any relevant risk factors.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on emotional well-being and successful integration into the academic community, collaborating closely with students in this process.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy, to tackle a variety of mental health issues effectively.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting personal growth, emotional regulation, and healthy coping mechanisms among students.

• Coordinate care with an array of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a holistic approach to student care.

• Respond to mental health crises, providing immediate support and crisis intervention while utilizing de-escalation techniques and making necessary referrals for higher levels of care.

• Educate students and their families on mental health conditions, treatment paths, and available community resources to empower them in their own mental health journeys.

• Maintain accurate documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines relevant to mental health practice.

• Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to foster collaboration, share insights, and enhance treatment approaches.

• Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards affecting mental health practice in school settings.

This position primarily serves a diverse student population within a school setting, focusing on the mental health needs of children and adolescents. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Currently holds a valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a mental health or educational environment.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and trauma-informed care approaches.

• Skilled in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and creating appropriate treatment plans.

• Experience with individual and group therapy, equipped with a variety of therapeutic techniques.

• Ability to manage crises effectively while maintaining composure in high-stress circumstances.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build rapport with a diverse range of students and families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
