Job ID: 10451503 | Amazon.com Services LLC We are currently seeking an experienced Jr. Localization Executive to support the Global Localization team in localizing and preparing content for launch and distribution. The role involves managing specific film and series titles, navigating established workflows, and ensuring high‑quality customer experiences. Responsibilities Track production and delivery progress for assigned series and movies, overseeing all necessary assets from third‑party facilities and Amazon’s contracted vendors. Maintain and update schedules, keep internal and external stakeholders informed, and manage localization progress from greenlight through distribution. Source and organize materials for final distribution, troubleshoot upstream or downstream rejections, and act on customer feedback. Serve as subject‑matter expert on main‑title translations, ensuring adherence to language style guides and preserving creative intent. Liaise between current productions and third‑party localization vendors for translation, adaptation, casting, recording, and versioning of Amazon MGM Studios Originals. Build vendor relationships, identify trends, and achieve alignment across global vendors and internal teams (Studios Content Services, Programming Strategy, Legal, Business Affairs, Creative, Marketing, Post, and Production). Collaborate with Localization Cost Management staff to track and monitor expenditures for localization work. Support special projects such as language expansion, accessibility backfill, and maintaining internal tracking databases and reference materials. Coordinate cross‑functional meeting logistics, collect data, and support reporting needs for leadership. Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of experience in centralized subtitling, dubbing, or accessibility localization workflows for films or series across multiple regions and languages. Experience acquiring and delivering assets from producing entities to a studio or vendor. Direct experience managing 3P vendor utilization and schedule management from greenlight to distribution. Experience creating or improving digital media workflows and asset management. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under urgent timelines with limited oversight. Experience in a global studio or post‑production environment focused on episodic television; experience with features is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Ability to educate stakeholders, earn trust, and obtain leadership buy‑in. Proven communication and narrative writing skills. Self‑motivated with a collaborative mindset across cross‑functional teams. Subject‑matter expertise in entertainment, post‑production, and localization workflows. Familiarity with foreign languages (not essential). Experience working across time zones with global teams. Knowledge of budget management and reporting. Awareness of AI‑aided localization trends and approaches. Experience with component‑based localization and mastering workflows such as IMF or MMC.
