This position focuses on supporting individuals affected by trauma through specialized therapy. Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing mental health professionals the flexibility to provide therapy from a location that best suits their needs, while still being an integral part of our collaborative team. We work with innovative telehealth technologies that facilitate effective client interactions and enable us to maintain high standards of care. Our work schedule includes hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and establish personalized treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and empowering clients toward self-advocacy.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related issues.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process their experiences, learn coping strategies, and foster healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and the resources available to aid in recovery.
\n
• Maintain conscientious and accurate documentation in compliance with ethical and legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and further develop your trauma-informed care skills.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance your therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals impacted by trauma, including survivors of abuse, veterans, and those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our approach is client-centered, ensuring that every therapy session is attuned to the specific needs and emotions of the clients we serve.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring easy navigation for patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, specifically in delivering trauma-focused therapies.

• A robust understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.

• Experience with group therapy modalities and crisis intervention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
