Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians, developing and implementing individualized treatment programs based on their specific needs.
• Provide hands-on therapy for a varied patient demographic, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate patient recovery and promote functional independence.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress meticulously, ensuring continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the broader healthcare team to set realistic recovery goals and expectations.
• Consult and educate patients and their caregivers on therapeutic exercises and lifestyle modifications to optimize recovery.
• Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the facility by meeting utilization and business goals while delivering unmatched customer service.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will directly impact the lives of a diverse patient base. Our facility caters to individuals of all ages facing various physical challenges due to sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, stroke rehabilitation, and developmental issues in children. By applying evidence-based practices, you will create meaningful therapeutic relationships, guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey and enabling them to achieve their functional goals.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Obtain and maintain a valid state license for physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and electronic medical records systems, is essential.
• Capacity to forge productive relationships with patients to enhance their rehabilitation experience.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, along with licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• A current CPR certification is also necessary.

Compensation and Benefits
