Role Overview

Help improve language technologies by producing accurate, context-aware German transcriptions and linguistic annotations. This remote contract role draws on your command of German language nuances, attention to detail, and ability to work confidently with spoken content. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to German audio and create accurate transcripts that preserve the original meaning, tone, and context.
• Review and edit transcripts to meet linguistic and style guidelines.
• Add required metadata, including speaker identification, timestamps, and contextual cues.
• Work with project stakeholders to clarify unclear audio and resolve linguistic questions.
• Perform quality checks to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Provide feedback that improves transcription workflows and guidelines.
• Handle project information confidentially and in accordance with applicable compliance protocols.

Qualifications

• Native-level German proficiency, including understanding of regional dialects and variations.
• Experience in transcription, linguistics, or related language-focused work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Comfort using audio playback, transcription, and standard office software.
• Ability to interpret and follow project guidelines precisely.
• Familiarity with linguistic annotation and metadata practices is preferred.
• Strong organization and proactive problem-solving skills in a remote work environment.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $10 to $35 per hour.
