German Transcription Expert

Role Overview

Help improve language technology by producing accurate, context-aware German audio transcriptions. This remote contract role focuses on high-quality linguistic input, including transcription, review, annotation, and quality assurance. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to German audio and create accurate transcripts that preserve the original meaning, tone, and context.
• Review and edit transcripts to meet linguistic and style guidelines.
• Add required metadata, such as speaker labels, timestamps, and contextual cues.
• Work with project stakeholders to clarify ambiguous audio and resolve linguistic questions.
• Conduct quality checks to maintain consistent transcription accuracy.
• Provide feedback that improves transcription workflows and guidelines.
• Protect confidential project information and follow applicable data-security procedures.

Qualifications

• Native-level German proficiency, including an understanding of regional dialects and variations.
• Experience in transcription, linguistics, or related language-focused work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with audio playback, transcription tools, and standard office software.
• Ability to interpret and apply detailed project guidelines accurately.
• Familiarity with linguistic annotation and metadata practices is preferred.
• Strong organization and proactive problem-solving skills in a remote work environment.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $10 to $25 per hour.
