Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including presence, intensity, frequency, and impact on daily life.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clients' individual requirements, therapeutic goals, and preferences, leveraging a strength-based approach.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), designed to address mood disorders effectively.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and healthy self-care practices.
• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies in collaboration with clients.
• Engage in integrated care practices by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer comprehensive support.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic approaches and improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops to continuously enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Advocate for clients' rights and needs, reinforcing mental health awareness and reducing stigma within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse clientele, particularly individuals suffering from mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients often include vulnerable populations, such as those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your empathy, understanding, and specialized therapeutic skills will play an invaluable role in their healing and recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a closely related field is required.
• Demonstrable ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

• The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
