Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations by reviewing patients' medical histories and performing physical assessments to configure their unique rehabilitation needs.
• Engage in active consultations with patients to fully understand their physical conditions, symptoms, and goals.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to diagnose movement dysfunctions, developing comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• Instruct patients on the proper use of therapeutic exercise techniques tailored to enhance mobility, strength, and overall physical well-being.
• Administer treatments such as stimulation and massage therapy to promote healing effectively.
• Assist patients in the proper use of rehabilitation equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices to improve their independence.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress towards goals and updating treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide guidance to patients and their families on in-home treatment options and exercises to continue recovery outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to share critical patient information and ensure comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain disorders. You will work directly with individuals of various ages and backgrounds, striving to restore their functional abilities and improve their quality of life. Establishing a trusting relationship with your patients is essential, fostering an environment where they feel comfortable discussing their challenges and progress.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state Physical Therapy license to practice in Florida.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience specializing in Orthopedic Therapy.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in evaluating and treating a broad range of health conditions.
• Proficient in computer skills including word processing software, electronic health record systems, and other relevant digital tools to maintain patient records.

Preferred Experience

Additional experience or specialties in areas such as sports medicine, geriatrics, or chronic pain management will be highly regarded and can provide valuable contributions to our diverse patient population.
