Position Overview

Aligncare Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at our Newark, New Jersey rehabilitation center. Work Environment

This position is based full-time at our Newark rehabilitation center, where you will be part of a collaborative and supportive team. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function while maintaining patients' maximum performance capabilities.
• Evaluate clients' functional levels through comprehensive diagnostic assessments, utilizing tests to gauge muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional abilities.
• Implement treatment plans prescribed by physicians and assess physical therapy services provided within home environments, ensuring suitability for clients' independence and rehabilitative progress.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises while instructing and motivating clients in practical activities, tailoring sessions to individual capabilities.
• Monitor and document patient progress rigorously, preparing clinical records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to refine care strategies.
• Provide guidance and oversight to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to the care plan and compliance with applicable state laws.
• Complete on-site evaluations to assess functional needs and resource utilization, adjusting care plans in response to clients' changing conditions.
• Engage with clients and their families to educate them on managing therapeutic devices and incorporating therapy into daily routines effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from acute illnesses, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Our patients often include elderly clients needing support to improve mobility, strength, and overall function. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current PT licensure in the state of New Jersey, with a clear record of good standing.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in either an acute care or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, demonstrating empathy, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions.
• A proactive problem-solving approach, with a willingness to take responsibility for clinical decisions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with an interdisciplinary team within a rehabilitation or wellness setting.

• Exposure to electronic health records and familiarity with documentation practices relevant to physical therapy services.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
