Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) for a full-time float position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active Ohio RRT license.

Job Details

• Full-time float position covering multiple locations within the health system,
• Notified 2-4 hours prior to shift start regarding assigned location,
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM),
• Weekend work as needed,
• Floating required to multiple facilities as needed,

Job Requirements

• CRT or RRT accepted,
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT required,
• NBRC certification required, active and in hand at time of consideration,
• BLS certification required, active and in hand at time of consideration,
• Ohio RRT license required in hand (license required if applicable),
• No pending certifications accepted,
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty being applied for, from an assignment worked in the past 12 months,
• Co-worker references will not be accepted,

Additional Information

• Float between multiple facilities within the health system as assigned,
• Travelers expected to work every other holiday,
• COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only,
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only,
• Smoke-free facility requiring nicotine-free status with no exceptions,
• Negative 10-panel plus nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start and updated annually,
• Background check hits are reviewed by the facility; no license hits accepted,
• BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing contract,
• All RTO requests must be discussed during interview and included at time of consideration,
• Assignments may be extended up to 18 consecutive months, followed by a required 6-month break before returning,
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date,
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate,
• First-time travelers will be considered
