Vince Ovecka State Farm is seeking a driven, competitive, and customer-focused Insurance Sales Representative to join our team as an Acquisitions Specialist.

This is a sales-dominant role for someone who enjoys creating opportunities, building relationships, and confidently asking for the business. You’ll focus on acquiring new customers, developing a strong sales pipeline, and helping individuals and families protect what matters most through needs-based insurance conversations.

Insurance experience is preferred, but we are willing to develop the right person who brings strong sales ability, drive, coachability, and a desire to succeed.

Licensing Requirements

Insurance licensing is required for this position.

• Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to your Day 1 start date.

• Life & Health license must be obtained within an established timeframe after onboarding begins.

• Already licensed candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Licensing guidance and support are available for qualified candidates completing the process.

What You’ll Do

• Generate new business through leads, referrals, outbound prospecting, networking, and community outreach.

• Conduct needs-based sales conversations and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.

• Quote, present, and close Auto, Home, Renters, Life, and other insurance products.

• Build and actively manage a consistent pipeline of prospective customers.

• Follow up with leads and prospects to convert opportunities into new business.

• Confidently overcome objections and ask for the sale.

• Identify cross-sell opportunities and help customers understand their coverage options.

• Develop referral opportunities through strong customer relationships.

• Track sales activity and consistently work toward individual and agency production goals.

• Represent the agency professionally within the local community.

• Previous insurance, financial services, business development, automotive, banking, or consultative sales experience preferred.

• State Farm agency experience and current insurance licensing are a plus.
