Job Summary: Join a compassionate clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and health management. This role involves supporting healthcare providers by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks tailored to the needs of the practice. Essential Responsibilities:
Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is required. Work Shift: First shift, full-time (40 hours per week). This opportunity is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States, offering a warm and supportive environment for professional growth.
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear instructions, and education to patients.
- Ensure smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by accurately completing and updating medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
- Observe and document abnormal patient signs, communicate findings to physicians, and ensure patients understand discharge instructions.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and coordinating referrals and patient testing.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed, while distributing educational materials and confirming patient comprehension of treatments and medications.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and keeping equipment in proper working order.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
