Key Responsibilities\n

  Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ mental health status, utilizing evidence-based practices and assessment tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to develop individualized care plans.

  Continuously monitor and evaluate patient progress, delivering tailored interventions to enhance compliance and promote positive mental health outcomes.

  Maintain precise and timely treatment records and clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, ensuring all patient information is kept confidential and secure.

  Collaborate closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to create personalized treatment plans, addressing unique needs and cultural considerations.

  Facilitate education and support for patients and families regarding coping strategies, resources, and next steps in their care.

  Establish referral pathways to additional care providers, ensuring seamless transitions in treatment and ongoing support.

  Offer guidance and mentorship to students, interns, and volunteers, fostering an environment of knowledge-sharing and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients navigating the complexities of cancer treatment and its emotional, psychological, and social ramifications. You will provide empathetic, culturally-sensitive care designed to support individuals and families facing significant life challenges.

Qualifications\n

  A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

  Current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida.

Preferred Experience\n

  At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly working with individuals and families affected by chronic illness.

  Previous experience in hospice or palliative care services is preferred, though not required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
