The role partners with traders, sales teams, operations, technology, compliance, and clients to support efficient transaction processing and maintain a strong control environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily trade capture, validation, and booking activities to ensure accurate downstream processing and settlement.Investigate and resolve trade breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation discrepancies.Perform trade affirmation, allocation, and lifecycle event processing activities.Partner with traders and sales teams to address operational issues, client inquiries, and transaction-related requests.Monitor transaction processing controls and escalate issues, risks, or regulatory concerns when appropriate.Coordinate with Operations, Technology, Compliance, and external counterparties to support successful trade execution and settlement.Support implementation of new products, business initiatives, and technology enhancements.Maintain process documentation, procedures, and audit evidence in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.Participate in testing, system upgrades, and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.Qualifications & CompetenciesBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.Up to 5 years of experience in trade support, capital markets operations, middle office, or financial services.Understanding of capital markets products such as fixed income, equities, repo, foreign exchange, or derivatives.Experience working with trading systems, market data platforms, and operational workflows.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SQL, VBA, Python, or automation knowledge is an asset.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.High attention to detail and transaction accuracy.Strong risk and control mindset.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong client service orientation.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Continuous improvement and process optimization mindset.Typical Functional ActivitiesTrade BookingsTrade Validation & Reconciliation (FOBO)Trade Affirmation & AllocationBreak RemediationLife Cycle Event ProcessingSales & Client SupportTrader SupportRegulatory MonitoringCash Movement & Settlement SupportProduct and System TestingProcess Improvement & Automation InitiativesLocationThis exciting opportunity is based in the vibrant city of New York, offering a dynamic and fast-paced work environment in the heart of the financial industry. xhyhwjd Executive SummaryTrade Desk Support Associates provide operational and technical support to sales and trading desks by ensuring accurate transaction processing, managing trade lifecycle events, resolving exceptions, and serving as the primary liaison between front office, operations, technology, and clients.
