Security Officer - Access Control

As a Security Officer Ingress Control in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by following access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor and vendor access, and maintain required logs and documentation for the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including building access points, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned. Help to deter unauthorized access, support traffic and truck flow at entry gates, and report maintenance, security‑related, and/or operational concerns observed during the shift. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
