Work Environment\n

This position is remote, allowing flexibility to work from home while also providing in-person sessions as needed at our outpatient office in New Rochelle. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts that may be requested based on patient demands.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using structured evaluations and intuitive interviews to identify the unique needs of each child or adolescent.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues, considering the developmental stages of patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to foster resilience and coping skills in young individuals.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication and fostering a supportive home environment for effective treatment outcomes.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our young patients.

• Provide immediate intervention during mental health crises, ensuring swift and compassionate responses to assist children and adolescents.

• Educate patients and their families about mental wellness, treatment modalities, and community resources to empower them in their mental health journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to incorporate innovative strategies into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. The role emphasizes not only individual therapy but also family involvement, recognizing the influence of family dynamics on a child's mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical setting is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of developmental psychology and familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies tailored for young populations.

• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to connect and build trust with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to navigate telehealth platforms effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this rewarding position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
