Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' conditions to determine their specific therapeutic needs in an outpatient setting.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, hands-on techniques, and modalities to alleviate pain and restore function.
• Utilize specialized equipment and innovative techniques to enhance treatment efficacy and maximize patient recovery.
• Document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on patient responses and evolving health statuses.
• Offer education and training to patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques, exercises to perform at home, and use of assistive devices when required.
• Provide mentoring and guidance for new graduates entering the field, fostering a culture of learning and development.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes comprehensively.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and seminars to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice physical therapy in Virginia is required.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and computer skills to support administrative tasks and patient management.
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy is preferred, though candidates with less experience who show promise and a dedication to learning may also be considered. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging with diverse patient populations and possess a strong foundation in various therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
