Work Environment\n

The role allows for a full-time commitment in a remote setting, providing flexibility while ensuring access to much-needed mental health services. As part of our community health clinic staff, you will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some potential for schedule adjustments to accommodate patient appointments and needs. You will collaborate with a talented team of therapists, psychiatrists, and administrative staff to create an empowering and affirming space for both clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments, enabling a deep understanding of patients’ backgrounds, experiences, and treatment needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patients' diverse cultural contexts.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, and promoting resilience, healing, and well-being among clients.

• Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a multidimensional approach to client care, focusing on comprehensive mental health management.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for patients experiencing mental health emergencies, acting swiftly and effectively to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in adherence with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous education workshops focused on cultural competency and best practices in mental health therapy.

• Stay informed about current research trends in mental health and integrate relevant cultural considerations into therapeutic practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• Robust understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and the importance of cultural competence in therapy.

• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy, demonstrating a commitment to incorporating culturally responsive strategies.

• Proven crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in fast-paced, challenging situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual compensation between USD 70,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
