Work Environment

This position is based onsite in the homes of patients throughout East Brunswick and surrounding areas. Working in home care allows our Physical Therapists to provide personalized therapy in a comfortable setting, fostering stronger patient relationships and more effective recovery outcomes. Our therapists have the flexibility to choose their working hours, typically from Monday to Friday, enabling a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients within their home environment to assess their physical health and rehabilitation needs post-injury or surgery.
• Create and implement tailored treatment plans incorporating a variety of therapeutic methods such as exercise regimens, hands-on manual therapy, and adaptive equipment.
• Utilize effective communication to explain treatment protocols and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper use of assistive devices and techniques for maintaining mobility and independence.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of physical therapy by attending workshops, engaging with professional networks, and pursuing ongoing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele consists of individuals ranging from children to older adults, each with specific physical rehabilitation needs. As a Physical Therapist, you will guide patients through recovery processes following orthopedic surgeries, injuries, chronic health conditions, and neurological disorders. Understanding diverse patient backgrounds and tailoring your approach is critical to enhancing their healing journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer applications to maintain accurate records and treatment documentation.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in different patient scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in physical therapy, although recent graduates are encouraged to apply as mentorship will be provided.
• Experience in home health care settings is desirable but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
