Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide trauma-informed counseling tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Integrate Christian counseling principles into therapeutic sessions for clients seeking a faith-based approach.

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that align with client goals, ensuring their progress is continually monitored and adapted.

• Offer counseling services to clients referred by local churches, actively working to cultivate relationships in the community.

• Engage in community outreach initiatives to enhance referral sources and build a solid client base.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to coordinate holistic care for clients.

• Maintain accurate client records and document progress notes within our electronic health record (EHR) system promptly.

• Communicate regularly with the center director regarding your availability, caseload, and any scheduling needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field is required.
\n
• Independently licensed as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, or currently completing residency requirements (within 200 hours) for licensure.

• Strong understanding of the Bible and knowledge of Biblical counseling techniques is essential to effectively address faith-related inquiries from clients.

• Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions to suit client needs.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with a diverse client base.
\n
• Exhibit a compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling, prioritizing client confidentiality and ethical guidelines.

Preferred Experience\n

• One year of experience in trauma counseling is preferred.
\n
• Prior experience with EMDR therapy is highly desirable; however, candidates must be willing to complete the EMDR basic training within three months of hire.

• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is a plus.
