Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is primarily onsite, providing care directly in patients' homes across Fort Myers and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Assess and determine patient needs through comprehensive evaluations, including diagnostic tests to measure muscle, joint, and nerve function.
• Design and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, improving mobility, and promoting independence in daily activities.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols for optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise regimens, and modalities such as traction and massage.
• Evaluate home environments to foster rehabilitation and provide actionable recommendations that enhance client independence and safety.
• Document patient progress meticulously in clinical records, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review and adapt care plans, actively participating in discussions regarding patient progress and treatment efficacy.
• Educate clients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices and the overall physical therapy program to facilitate home exercise programs.
• Maintain timely communication with physicians and case managers, reporting any significant changes in patient conditions and suggesting modifications to care plans as necessary.
• Complete additional responsibilities and assignments as dictated by individual patient needs and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Valid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification in good standing.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly in acute care or home health settings.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with a passion for engaging and collaborating with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in home care environments is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
