Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews with clients, documenting case history from initial consultations through treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through evidence-based assessment tools and clinical expertise.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage client engagement and healing.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment plans, making adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to implement comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Provide follow-up support to clients transitioning from hospital admissions, ensuring continuity of care and comprehensive emotional support.

• Identify and develop strategies to address behaviors that may hinder recovery, offering additional resources to clients and families.

• Assist families and primary caregivers in managing challenges associated with mental and behavioral health concerns.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Place of Grace Behavioral Health Center, you will engage with a diverse client population facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, exhibiting a commitment to continuous professional development.

• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, for managing client documentation and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
