Position Summary CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring in Woonsocket, RI for a Software Development Engineer to design and develop software applications and platforms that support digital strategies and solutions. Duties include: Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements. Determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation. Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability. Write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing. Develop and deploy application components, support unit testing, and fix bugs. Participate in AGILE Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD activities. Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on application development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Experience required in the following areas (at least five (5) years each): CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles REST, SOAP, and Web Service APIs Oracle, Redis, or Cassandra database JIRA, Rally, or Confluence Teradata and DB2 databases Unix Shell scripting Java, Python, Hive, Cassandra, Pig, MySQL or NoSQL SAS or SQL programming Power BI and Tableau Software development lifecycle and best practices Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting Writing application code and deploying to production Relational database concepts Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases Pay Range $147,680.00/year to $147,680.00/year.
