About the Position

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania providing weekend coverage for a busy cardiac surgery service. This role involves rounding, urgent consults, and assisting with patient care from ICU to discharge, including support for vein harvesting procedures.

Shifts consist of Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM , covering 3 weekends per month . You will work collaboratively with surgical teams, APPs, and other clinical staff. EMR system used is Epic , and you will gain experience in acute cardiac surgery patient management.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with board certification
• Active Pennsylvania license required
• DEA license required
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute care or surgical setting
• Acute care certificate not required but experience in cardiac/ICU care preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for hospital-based cardiac surgery teams
