Work Environment

This position is based in Ocala, Florida, and involves onsite patient interactions primarily in home environments. Our therapists are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to deliver effective care directly to patients in their homes, allowing us to tailor our services to each individual's unique circumstances and promote comfort and consistency in the therapeutic process. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of assigned patients using appropriate assessment tools and measures, establishing personalized treatment goals aligned with best practices in physical therapy.
• Document every evaluation and treatment session meticulously within the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring accurate billing charges and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Perform screenings to identify the need for further physical therapy interventions, which may include evaluating patients for lymphedema, fall risk, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment programs that are evidence-based, aiming to restore function, enhance mobility, relieve pain, and prevent long-term disabilities.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers about treatment plans, progress, and any necessary modifications.
• Actively engage with an interdisciplinary team to discuss patient needs and coordinate care efficiently, ensuring that each patient receives the comprehensive support they require.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, contributing to departmental education and potentially supervising students or interns as part of a defined clinical education pathway.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our physical therapists work with a diverse population, including individuals with acute injuries, chronic conditions, cognitive impairments, and developmental disabilities. Qualifications

• A valid Florida Physical Therapy License (PT) is required.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
• Ability to thrive in both clinical and home care environments, demonstrating adaptability and strong patient management skills.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and the ability to provide competent inpatient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care settings, particularly with patients requiring multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to document in electronic medical records effectively and efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

• The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000, based on experience and qualifications.
