Work Environment

The position is located in beautiful Ocala, Florida, where you will work primarily in the homes of our patients, providing therapy in a comfortable and supportive environment. Our team consists of professionals dedicated to nurturing a positive and encouraging atmosphere, ensuring that both staff and patients thrive. We operate Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a work-life balance while engaging in meaningful interactions with patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific orthopedic goals and needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility and strength, utilizing modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and innovative technologies.
• Educate patients on rehabilitation processes, healthy lifestyle choices, and injury prevention strategies, reinforcing the importance of their active participation in their treatment.
• Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes and improve health trajectories.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care that enhances recovery and patient satisfaction.
• Advocate for patient welfare by encouraging commitment to treatment regimens and addressing any concerns or barriers to their rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Comfort Care Physical Therapy, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. This entails creating tailored rehabilitation plans that promote healing and functional independence. Your expertise will provide critical support for patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care that respects their individual needs and lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• An active state license in Florida as a Physical Therapist is necessary to practice.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a similar role, preferably focusing on orthopedic therapies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current best practices and treatment modalities related to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in home care settings or with patients in post-operative recovery phases.
• Familiarity with outcome measurement tools and patient management software.
• Advanced certifications in areas such as orthopedics, manual therapy, or sports rehabilitation are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
