Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time in Ocala, FL

Position Overview

Emerald Valley PT is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic outpatient orthopedic clinic located in Ocala, Florida. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans for patients suffering from musculoskeletal conditions. Your efforts will be integral in helping our patients regain mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance their overall functional abilities.

Work Environment

Our rehabilitation facility is designed to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both our staff and patients. As a Physical Therapist, you will work onsite in a structured schedule, primarily from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM. This environment is equipped with the latest therapeutic modalities and technology to facilitate the most effective treatments, enhancing both efficiency and outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new patients, taking into account their medical history, physical capabilities, and personal goals for rehabilitation.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modern modalities tailored to each patient's needs.
• Implement, monitor, and adjust therapy interventions as necessary to ensure optimal progress and recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures, providing guidance on home exercises and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of each session, tracking patient progress and ensuring compliance with clinic standards and regulations.
• Participate actively in regular team meetings to discuss case studies, share insights, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on managing orthopedic conditions, and our patient population may include individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and workplace injuries, as well as those dealing with chronic musculoskeletal pain. We prioritize personalized care, striving to meet the diverse needs of our patients while fostering a trusting and supportive therapist-patient relationship.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; candidates holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program are preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is required; however, new graduates with a strong interest in orthopedic therapy are also encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic techniques, rehabilitation protocols, and effective patient assessment methods is essential.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients and fellow team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems will be an asset to streamline patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific orthopedic conditions and knowledge of recent advancements in rehabilitation techniques.
• Experience in using specialized therapeutic equipment and modalities, including ultrasound therapy and electrical stimulation.
• Prior involvement in multidisciplinary teams that focus on collaborative patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
