Work Environment

This role is specific to an onsite home care facility, allowing you to directly engage with patients in a familiar setting. You will work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, enjoying a structured yet flexible work schedule that accommodates the needs of your patients. The home-based nature of our services promotes a unique therapeutic rapport with clients, fostering an environment where healing can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs, objectives, and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans employing a variety of therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to manual therapies and exercise programs.
• Administer and evaluate cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patient mobility and functionality.
• Provide focused patient education to minimize reliance on pharmaceuticals while explaining non-surgical treatment options.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each patient's care.
• Document all services provided using electronic medical record (EMR) software like WebPT with precision and timeliness, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and communicate effectively with patients and their support systems to foster engagement in their own recovery.
• Encourage a lifestyle centered on health through improving physical attributes such as strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with orthopedic patients of various ages who are recovering from injuries or surgeries, dealing with chronic pain, or seeking to enhance their physical abilities. Our clientele may also include athletes looking for preventive strategies to enhance performance and reduce the risk of injury. Building trusting relationships with patients will be crucial, as their comfort and confidence in your care will directly influence their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) is mandatory.
• Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Exhibit a clean record with no disciplinary actions on your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the formation of effective exercise regimens.
• Comfortable using EMR software systems such as WebPT is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desired, emphasizing practical knowledge of patient-centered rehabilitation.
• Specific knowledge of the latest therapeutic methodologies and best practices in orthopedic care will be a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
