Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, as you will be delivering services directly in the homes of our patients. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will have a variety of responsibilities that include:

• Reviewing and interpreting patients' medical histories to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Conducting thorough assessments to identify movement dysfunction and physical limitations.
• Designing and implementing effective treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
• Educating patients and their families on the correct application of therapeutic exercises and mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers.
• Providing massage and stimulation techniques to promote healing and reduce pain.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, tracking progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborating with other medical professionals to communicate treatment objectives and ensure optimal care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients requiring orthopedic therapy, which includes individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system. You will work closely with diverse patients, tailoring your therapeutic approach to address their unique conditions, differences in mobility, and personal goals. This role significantly contributes to improving patient outcomes, such as enhanced mobility and increased independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid state Physical Therapy license to practice in Florida.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in orthopedic therapy, demonstrating a deep understanding of movement dysfunctions and treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in utilizing therapeutic exercises and techniques appropriate for a diverse patient population.
• Strong organizational skills, along with proficiency in basic word processing and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

Though not mandatory, additional experience in specialized areas such as sports rehabilitation, geriatric care, or post-operative recovery will be regarded favorably. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with home health care regulations can enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
