Work Environment

As a Licensed Physical Therapist at our facility, you will work onsite in a supportive and dynamic rehabilitation environment. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art treatment tools, including therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment, allowing for the effective delivery of care. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet their unique needs.
• Provide one-on-one patient care through various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and gait training methodologies.
• Document all aspects of patient care meticulously, including clinical evaluations, treatment progress notes, billing, and correspondence with the healthcare team and public, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other team members, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient education and engagement.
• Stay informed of best practices and emerging trends in physical therapy to maintain a high standard of clinical knowledge and performance at all stages of patient/client encounters.
• Adhere to compliance regulations including HIPAA guidelines, Medicare protocols, and billing and coding standards, ensuring complete accuracy and ethical practices.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy will be preferred.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist License is mandatory to practice in the state.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology are essential.
• The ability to work effectively with pediatric patients and their unique needs is crucial for this role.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting is strongly preferred, allowing you to leverage your practical skills effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
