Job Title

Travel RN – Progressive Care / Clinical Decision Unit (PCU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Projected Start: June 15, 2026 | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed inpatient overflow unit serving a mixed level of care, including medical-surgical and step-down patients
• Manage short-stay patients (less than 24-hour length of stay) with a focus on quick turnover and efficient throughput
• Monitor patients via continuous hardwired telemetry at the bedside and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with a team consisting of a charge nurse, fellow RNs, and CNAs while maintaining patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on level of care
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units as needed per staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN
• Demonstrated telemetry competency
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Recent progressive care experience (within the past 1–2 years)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced inpatient environments with rapid patient turnover
