Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify client concerns and collaboratively develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Facilitate engaging one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing a variety of evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.

• Regularly collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and offer holistic support, including integrating services such as psychiatry or peer support.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to remain informed about the latest trends, research, and best practices in mental health counseling.

• Contribute actively to program development, suggesting initiatives to improve the quality of services offered to clients.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic medical record systems effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our clients come from various backgrounds and present a spectrum of issues requiring culturally competent and affirming care. Your ability to build rapport and create a safe therapeutic space will be crucial in helping clients navigate their unique struggles.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or higher in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Minimum of two years of experience providing therapeutic services to clients facing emotional challenges is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients quickly and effectively, building a trusting therapeutic alliance.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
