Business Development Executive - LTL

Job Title Business Development Executive – LTL Department: Sales, Marketing & Product Management Location United States – Arkansas – Lowell Job Summary Under general supervision, this position is responsible for contacting prospective customers with a minimum LTL transportation spend of $250K. This includes meeting with decision makers to specifically discuss the LTL or Managed Logistics offerings. The role is the primary owner of the account(s) to which it is aligned, focusing on defining the opportunity strategy to sell to the customer. Key Responsibilities Conduct lead generation activities for new and incremental business, including cold calling, networking, and other opportunity prospecting methods. Meet with customers and prospective customers to discuss viable opportunities, understand their business needs, identify scope, submit proposals, finalize contracts, and win the business. Coordinate with internal teams and the customer to implement the customer's solution, including participation in kick-off. Perform various activities related to opportunity management and monitor the health of the account, including customer KPI review, revenue quality monitoring, watching for additional opportunities, and ensuring adherence to contract and payment terms. Visit prospective and existing customers at their corporate headquarters or other sites as needed, traveling to customer sites to meet customer needs. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or similar, and must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record as per JBH standards. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance, Transportation Law, HR/Personnel/Risk, or boardroom settings. Skilled communication and ability to coordinate internal resources for solution development. Negotiating and building contracts, developing future‑oriented sales plans that support business strategy and reflect emerging and existing opportunities and markets. Ability and willingness to seek out work and drive accomplishments toward goals, establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. Knowledge of selling products or services, analyzing customer activities, profiles, and information, and understanding the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets. Additional Requirements This position is not eligible for employment‑based sponsorship. Compensation Factors which may affect starting pay include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. The position may be eligible for an annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect at the time.
