Work Environment

This position is full-time, requiring a Monday to Friday work schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You will primarily work in a home care setting, allowing you to interact closely with patients in a personalized environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand each patient's objectives and treatment requirements, ensuring comprehensive and individualized care.
• Manage a maximum patient load of one individual per hour, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality and focused therapy sessions.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans by integrating various evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address a broad spectrum of orthopedic issues.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques proficiently to alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and promote healing.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs tailored specifically to improve each patient's physical capabilities and functional outcomes.
• Document all patient encounters meticulously, tracking progress and outcomes to facilitate ongoing care adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal rehabilitation results.
• Educate patients and their families about the importance of physical therapy, preventative measures, and self-management techniques to support long-term wellness.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their recovery journey, celebrating their milestones and advancement toward their goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our clientele includes diverse age groups, from pediatric to geriatric patients, providing a unique professional opportunity to impact various demographics positively. Your role is vital in empowering patients to regain their independence and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to manage patient data efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively within home care environments.
• Successful track record of developing and executing individualized therapy plans with measurable outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
