Advanced RN - Perioperative/PACU Care

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) role focuses on delivering direct patient care through the nursing process, demonstrating clinical expertise, and upholding the highest ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to maintain a secure care environment.
• Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes.
• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and ensure safety.
• Document all patient care activities accurately to support compliance with quality measures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare team members, patients, and families to improve care experiences and outcomes.
• Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Adapt positively to healthcare dynamics and pursue continuous professional development.

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Experience

At least one year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

• Current RN license in a Compact State or the state of Missouri.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 lbs, frequent walking, standing, turning, and other movements. Exposure to infectious and communicable diseases is common, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
