Work Environment\n

This position is a fully remote telehealth role, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while also ensuring the flexibility that your clients need. We embrace the latest technology to facilitate effective virtual therapy sessions, enabling seamless communication and support for clients located throughout California. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health and substance use issues, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders.

• Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on holistic care that addresses their unique circumstances.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, empowering clients to enhance their coping strategies, build resilience, and prevent relapse.
\n
• Work in coordination with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to treatment.

• Regularly engage in substance use monitoring, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to support clients in maintaining their recovery efforts.

• Educate clients and families on the connection between mental health and substance use, underscoring the importance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation relating to treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in compliance with all ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in ongoing case conferences, staff meetings, and training to enhance proficiency in co-occurring disorder treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with both mental health and substance use disorders, providing them with the integrated care they need to foster recovery. By employing an empathetic approach, you will assist these individuals in navigating their challenges while promoting resilience and long-term recovery outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within California.

• Demonstrable expertise in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A robust comprehension of how mental health and substance use disorders interact, along with a passion for supporting clients through their recovery journeys.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
