Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial interviews and maintain thorough documentation from the outset of treatment through completion.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to establish individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs.

• Design and implement intervention and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, using evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.

• Regularly monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create holistic treatment plans.

• Provide follow-up support and coordination for clients who may need hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and mitigate behaviors that could hinder a client’s recovery process, advocating for their best interests at all times.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• Completion of NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations with passing scores.
\n
• Prior experience in a mental health counselor role, demonstrating a breadth of counseling skills and knowledge.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.
\n
• A solid understanding of the intersection between mental health and related physical health or behavioral issues.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
\n
• A compassionate and supportive disposition, capable of building strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, with a potential sign-on bonus to welcome new team members.
