What You'll Do

• Provide solo emergency department coverage during scheduled shifts
• Manage an open ICU environment and handle approximately 90-100 patient encounters per shift
• Collaborate with a team, including one physician and two mid-level providers
• Utilize Meditech 6.1 EMR for documentation and patient management
• Ensure high-quality care for a varied patient population, including complex cases
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations
• Support hospital initiatives by delivering timely, effective emergency care

What You Need

• Active medical license in North Carolina, including Medicaid and PECOS enrollment
• Prior emergency medicine experience (preferred)
• Ability to handle high patient volumes efficiently
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

About the Assignment This position is based at a high-volume emergency department with an annual patient volume of approximately 32,000. The ER operates with an open ICU and typically sees 18-20 patients per 12-hour shift. You will be housed in hospital-owned accommodations. Any travel costs will be capped at $500, and your focus will be on delivering exceptional emergency care in a fast-paced environment.
