Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and personal interviews.

• Collaborate effectively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals and preferences, ensuring that these plans are adaptable as progress is monitored.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client healing and promote coping strategies.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment processes, and self-care techniques that empower them in their therapeutic journey.

• Regularly evaluate clients' progress, documenting important observations and modifying treatment plans as needed to accommodate changing needs.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients, sharing insights and updates to improve patient outcomes.

• Remain current with the latest research in mental health, particularly regarding mood disorders, to enhance the effectiveness of treatment strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all clinical interactions in accordance with ethical standards and state regulations.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing insights that enhance collective knowledge and treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in treatment modalities specifically designed for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.

• Exemplary communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Knowledge of psychopharmacology to effectively liaise with psychiatrists concerning client treatment plans.
