About the Role:

Bill's Carpet Center is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Accounts Payable Specialist/CFO Assistant to join our team in Rochester, NY. This is a unique dual-role opportunity where you'll help keep our financials running smoothly while working directly alongside company leadership. Responsibilities:

• Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist the CFO with financial reporting, budgeting, and data analysis
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth payment workflows
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare expense reports and assist with cash flow monitoring

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related finance role
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Desktop accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and financial processing
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and executive leadership
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
