Experience in monitoring telemetry patients is required. Familiarity with Epic is necessary. Description: The registered nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care in a progressive care setting. Candidates must have proficiency in general nursing skills including IV starts, medication administration, and patient education. Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation is essential. Knowledge of various protocols, including isolation precautions and heparin protocols, is necessary. Candidates should be adept in managing and titrating insulin drips and performing phlebotomy. Wound care and surgical drain management skills are required. The role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. The nurse will support patients recovering from bariatric and colorectal surgeries, among other post-surgical needs. Candidates should expect to take part in potential floating to other areas if required. Weekend coverage is expected as part of the role. A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care is essential.
