Accounts Payable SpecialistAccounts Payable Specialist (Contract-to-Hire) Naperville, IL (Hybrid – 3 days a week) Hourly Rate: $26-$28 Contract with potential for permanent hireOur client, a growing international manufacturing organization, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This opportunity is open due to a temporary leave of absence and offers the potential for long-term employment based on performance and business needs.ResponsibilitiesProcess and review approximately 400 invoices per monthPerform invoice matching, coding, and payment processingHandle ACH, wire, and credit card transactionsReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesAssist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliationsSupport financial analysis, forecasting, and general accounting functionsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and paymentsUtilize Excel for reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis activitiesQualifications2+ years of Accounts Payable experienceExperience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closeStrong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPsExperience working with ERP systemsBachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be consideredManufacturing experience or exposure to inventory-based environments is highly preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyPreferred ExperienceGeneral accounting experience beyond APFinancial analysis or forecasting exposureManufacturing experienceBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
