Work Environment\n

This position is designed for remote work, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong focus on patient care. The therapist will operate within a community health setting that encourages collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Our typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional evening and weekend shifts that may be required on a rotational basis. This flexible scheduling supports work-life balance while ensuring our clients receive the care they need when they need it.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing both standardized tools and clinical observations.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Provide evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), actively adapting techniques to meet the evolving needs of patients.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and practical strategies for self-care and maintenance of mental wellness.

• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting interventions and plans as necessary based on documented outcomes.

• Engage in collaborative treatment planning with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure all aspects of a client's mental health are addressed.

• Stay informed about the latest research on mood disorders and innovative therapeutic methods, applying this knowledge to improve treatment effectiveness.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans to comply with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to hone your skills and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work to reduce the stigma surrounding mood disorders in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population includes individuals struggling with a range of mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety-related disorders. We cater to a diverse clientele, acknowledging the unique backgrounds and experiences that shape each individual's mental health journey. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mood disorders, preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities suitable for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology relevant to mood disorders, enabling optimal coordination with psychiatrists.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a community health clinic or outpatient mental health setting.

• Familiarity with electronic healthcare records (EHR) systems and practice management tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, the role includes a sign-on bonus to welcome new team members.
