Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Watertown Regional Counseling Center, you will:

• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients in their homes or through virtual platforms, ensuring confidentiality and comfort.

• Lead group therapy sessions in our outpatient center, focusing on skill-building such as anger management and coping strategies.

• Implement interventions to help clients reduce high-risk behaviors, fostering healthier choices and promoting overall well-being.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other interdisciplinary professionals to develop and refine individualized treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, to ensure continuity of care.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, actively contributing insights and recommendations for program improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting a varied client population, encompassing youth and their families facing diverse mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in California.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (between 4-7 pm).

• Demonstrated experience providing positive behavior support and interventions.
\n
• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for in-home sessions.
\n
• Pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure client safety.

Preferred Experience\n

We greatly value candidates with at least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, particularly those who have worked with children and families. Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and familiarity with documentation standards and procedures in outpatient settings are highly desirable.
