As a Counselor, you will play an essential role in our comprehensive outpatient care model.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough crisis alerts and coordinate with county crisis services to facilitate timely support for program participants.

• Manage transitions for clients entering or exiting hospital and inpatient services, including direct communication with hospital staff to ensure properly organized discharges and continuity of care.
\n
• Employ crisis de-escalation techniques effectively, including acting as Clinician of the Day to support individuals experiencing acute distress.
\n
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments and safety plans to identify and mitigate potential crises proactively.
\n
• Ensure that all documentation regarding client interactions, assessments, and service provisions is completed on the same day to uphold the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving adults facing a variety of mental health challenges, striving to stabilize their conditions and guide them towards recovery and self-sufficiency. You will work with a diverse range of clients, addressing issues ranging from anxiety and depression to more severe mental health disorders. Your role will not only involve direct counseling but also advocating for the rights and needs of individual participants, fostering an environment of respect and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic environment, with a focus on maintaining service quality amid high caseloads.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to motivate clients and maintain a positive, motivating atmosphere.

• Strong clinical competencies and a talent for establishing trusting relationships with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in telehealth settings and familiarity with digital health technology.

• Previous work with crisis intervention strategies and support services.
\n
• Knowledge of community resources and the ability to navigate systems effectively on behalf of clients.

• Two or more years of relevant clinical experience in a similar role is preferred.

Mind Discovery offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 annually , commensurate with your experience and caseload management skills.
